Signal: @willow.74

SimpleX: I also use SimpleX Chat, which is both highly private and secure, and is something I highly recommend. The only downside is that SimpleX is anonymous (it does not use any account or identifier), so anybody can contact me pretending to be someone they are not. So I no longer provide a link to the QR code here. If you are a SimpleX user and prefer to chat with me via SimpleX, I request that you contact me on Signal first, and I will provide you with a link to a web page with the QR code that you can scan with the SimpleX Chat app.

XMPP: I monitor XMPP, which is a decentralized and federated messaging protocol that dates back over 25 years. Due to anonymity making it difficult to ascertain who is contacting me (same problem with SimpleX) and an increasing amount of spam, I am no longer sharing my XMPP address here. My previously used accounts have all been deleted. Having said, XMPP *can* be secure if OMEMO encryption is enabled (not available on all servers). As most XMPP servers are non-commercial and volunteer-run, reliability can be an issue from time to time. If you prefer to chat with me via XMPP, I request that you contact me on Signal first, and I will provide you with the address.
